Who were the main characters and how are they related / associated with each other?

The main characters were Mathew smith, Nana, Cameron, Jay, Paul, Azura and Lewis Armstrong - L snatch. Mathew knows Cameron, Paul, Azura, Jay because of Mathew going to camp. 

Where did the story take place?
The story took place at School, Lake Mokau and lake Waikaiemoana and Gisborne.  


What happened - main plot?
Mathew was accused of something he didn't do. For punishment he had to go to camp with the year eights.  

Personal reflection and the best part?  The best part for me was when Mathew was helping the old lady because you should away someone.

The water cycle

Aim: To make our own water cycle

Plastic bag
Water
3 drops of food coloring
vivid marker
Cellotape

Method
1. Draw diagram on the plastic bag of the water cycle with the vivid
2.  Add a small amount of water to the plastic bag
3. Add food coloring to the water
4. Cellotape the water cycle on the window

For Kiwican one of the learning objectives is to be honest. The game we played was two truths one lie. So you had to to think about something you have done in your life that is true and think of something that is a lie. So all you have to do is guess which one is a lie.

              

Overall I had a great time doing kiwi can every term. I am so excited to do it again next term. We have a competition to see who will wins. Kiwi can will do that at the end of the term. The winner was my class. I was so happy that we won this term.

Kete - Toitutanga (Sustainability)

This cold wet morning the year seven cohort went into J2's class.  We went there because we started our new kete which is about sustainability. We watched a movie called The Lorax. 

What is the big idea of the movie?

The big idea about the movie is to look after the environment and think before you do something. You shouldn't go around cutting down trees because it gives you less oxygen.   

What does the Author want you to think about?

The author would probably want you to think about one person can make a difference.   

What are the key concepts?

Sustainability, pollution, deforestation, environmentalism, nature, endangered species and your past can affect your future.

Overall I enjoyed the movie because it was very entertaining. The movie help me learn more about sustainability because the more they were cutting trees the more polluted it was getting. The air was also getting very dirty.

Exploding Coke

Aim: To see if coke explodes when a Mentos lolly is dropped into it using different temperatures and different kinds of coke.

Hypothesis: 

I think the coke zero is going to explode bigger than the normal coke.

Equipment:

Ruler

Beaker

Thermometer

Coke Mentos 

Measuring flask 


Findings:
6 mentos lollies were dropped into a bottle of coke. The height of the fountain of coke was measured in centimeter  
A mentos was crushed and dropped into the coke. This showed no result.

Homework

For homework I did the A to Z poem.The homework was using emotions. First I made a plan then I put the words all in one so it will come together. After I put pictures on there so it will fit the homework I was doing. Here is my google drawing. I hope you like it.


Overall I really like to make this. I liked the final result of the google drawing. Maybe next time I could put less pictures so it's not over flowing with pictures.please leave a positive, thoughtful and helpful comment.
