Art

In art we explored different ways of layering and creating textures. I made a stencil of a rabbit and then painted over it on a cardboard paper with a brick background. I painted it with the colours blue, red and purple. When I did my purple and red rabbit, I dabbed on the paint to create texture. I also did another painting with different colours using blue, pink, red and green. I used different shades of those colours and painted it on the paper.

Art - Ink Painting

Ink Painting

For art we did ink painting. The thing we inked was birds. our objective was to make a final print of our drawing. First we had to draw the bird on paper then transfer it to the lino and then carve what we wanted out. Once we did that we had to put the ink all over the lino so then we could print it on paper. We did it a couple time with the colours we wanted and this is how mine turned out. 

Art

This photograph is called Loyalist Militiaman and was taken by Robert Capa. The image is about a solider collapsing after being shot in the head with the weapon slipping out his hand. It was taken on September 5 1936. Robert was famous for taking war photos and was also a photojournalist.  Robert also got an award at the World Press Photo Award for General News.

My critique is that I don't like how the man was shot because it make you feel sad. If I used this image to inspire my friends, I wouldn't use a weapon but instead there would be someone holding on to the person so they wouldn't be falling but catching. Even though the image is someone getting shot I wanted to make a positive thing.

Art

For art I have been doing lino cutting. My art work has three hearts and my name on each one of the hearts. The shape is a heart and my inspiration was my friend Kayla and she did it so I did and added other things I like. I had trouble making it because at the start I didn't know what I was going to do. At the end I did know what I was going to do. My art work doesn't really have any meaning its just that I made my work with all the things I like. I enjoyed creating the part where I was carving out my design on the the lino. What I could do better next time is adding more detail to my art work but other then that I think I did a good job. I learned how to use the carving tool properly. 

Art

For art this term we had to make a design that had our names on them. First we had to look up some designs on our Chromebooks and then we drew three designs that we wanted to do. once we finished that stage we made a big copy of that and transfer it on a lino. When you transfer it you tape it to the paper then us a spoon to run over it.  After that we had to cut the lino and I learnt that when you cut the lino you cut it away from you so you don't cut yourself. Here I my peace of art work that I made.

Design Research

Lettermark- I liked how this says the forest cafe and there are trees shaped as cutlery.

Lettermark -I liked how this is because freedom and there is a bird flying away.

Combination - I like this design because its called invisible agent and there is no one there.
