Science

The eye dissection:
Light travels from your eye to brain by first going to the cornea. It's convex so the light refracts into your pupil. The pupil is around the iris which coloured and light can't pass through. The light would go through the lens which will focus light into your retina. Retina is the layer of cells at the back of your eye that is sensitive to light. The retina is connected to the optical nerve. Optic nerve is is a bundle of nerve fibres. It carry's the nerve impulses to your brain.
A cows eye has night vision because the retina has a blue thing which will make cows see in the dark.
Fun facts about a human eye:
1. Out of all your muscles in your body, the muscles that control your eyes are the most active
2. You actually see with your brain, not your eyes. Our eyes function like a camera, capturing light and sending data back to the brain.
3. A newborn baby will cry, but not produce any tears. Babies do not produce tears until they are around six weeks old.
