- Its a small town in a village.
2. Explain the feelings of most people in town toward the lottery.
Nervous, scared, stressed, troubled and anxious.
3. What evidence is there that the lottery has been going on for a long time?
The box colour faded and could see some of the original wood colour. They had it for generations. It was a tradition.
4. What is Old Man Warner’s attitude about those who would like to change things?
He thinks it's strange why other people changed the tradition.
5. Explain how the lottery works.
Each person will draw out a slip of paper.Then the family will have to draw out a slip of paper. There will be one person in the family who will get the slip of paper with a black dot in there. Whoever got the black dot will get stones thrown at them.
6. In what way is the title, “The Lottery”, misleading? Why would the author want to trick the reader by having a misleading title?
I think it's misleading because “The Lottery” sounds like a good thing but there's a plot twist at the end.
