Social Studies - Spirituals

In social studies we have been learning about spirituals. Spirituals are something to do with Christian religion. Spirituals help with boredom when doing things and they can also make you express your emotions.

In Social Studies we have been learning about Harriett Tubman. I made a poster about who she is, what spirituals are and what the underground railway is.

My goals Week four

1. My goal for this week is to try my best in my work. I way I did this was to try my best.
2. Try not to be nervous before tests. I way I did this was trying not to think about it and think of something else
3. Think positively about everything. I way I did this is to think of happy thoughts.

Social Studies - Slave Trade

This is my diagram example of the 'Slave Trade'. The first passage was from Europe to Africa. The cargo on this passage was guns and weapons.Africans were taken to the Caribbean and sold. They were Bartered for a ship load of tabacco and cotton.The rest of the slaves were shipped to USA and processed for Auction. It was where cotton, Tobacco, sugar cane and other products were put to ships.

Critical literacy is when you apply critical thinking to a literacy topic.
It is when you question how and why a text was made.

Bais -  When you favor something over another thing.

Source  - Place where you get information from.

Credible - Able to believe. Facts to support information.

Authority - Have power. to give orders.

Reliable - Something you can relay/trust on.

Perspective - the way you see things or your opinion.

Agenda - A plan/list to do something. How you do things.

Manipulate - controlling.
